A complete redesign and migration of the Village of Mt. Blanchard's municipal website. The project involved moving from Bluehost to Hostinger, implementing a custom "Village Settings" control panel for non-technical staff to easily manage alerts and utility rates, and ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance across 20+ pages.

The Challenge

The existing village site was outdated, hard to maintain, and suffered from broken links and migration issues. Staff needed a simpler way to update critical information like alerts and pool rates without breaking complex page layouts.

The Solution

A custom WordPress setup with an Astra child theme and Elementor, augmented by bespoke PHP shortcodes. We built a custom "Village Settings" admin panel so staff can update content safely.

What It Does

Custom Control Panel

"Village Settings" panel allows non-technical staff to self-manage alert banners, pool rates, utility rates, and council documents effortlessly.

Seamless Migration

Successfully migrated from Bluehost to Hostinger. Recovered Google Workspace email after DNS cutover and ran a custom PHP script to repair 933 double-escaped Elementor URLs.

Accessibility & SEO

WCAG 2.1 AA compliant design with per-page responsive CSS fixes. Full SEO setup with Rank Math, Search Console, and Bing integration.

Ongoing Partnership

Delivered comprehensive staff training documentation and signed the client to our first annual "Wizard tier" care plan for ongoing maintenance.
